4th Gen Black Pearl emblems?

Do genuine Toyota Black Pearl emblems exist for the 4th Gen 4Runners? If so where is a good source to buy them?

No, they do not exist. Gotta buy a set of the OEM emblem (or remove yours) and get them sent out to be black pearled. They cost A LOT!!!

Paint your original badges with with spray on window or lens tint and they will look awesome. There was a spray on the market years ago called Night Shades.

I got a quote for how much it would cost to have all emblems black pearled.

Black pearl plating of these emblems- $155.00, plus core charge- $235.00 (core deposit will be refunded if you will send original emblems back to us. All emblems must be in ''like new'' condition) Please note that we charge $10.00 core preparation fee per emblem package.

That's what they sent back to me. So maybe that will help you decide if thats what you want to do with your money. Personally I can think of way better mods to add to the appearance than that, especially since the average person won't know the difference of black emblems.

I know there's a thread around here on how to do it yourself. Might have been on yotatech, try searching because the info's out there. Lots cheaper than having it done.

OK.... Look for a paint called VHT NIGHT SHADES. Its a spray lens tint. I found it online for $10.00. Then either take of your emblems and prep and spray them or order new ones and prep and stray them.

A new set of emblems will still cost well over $100, I bought an "iForce V8" badge from the dealership and it was 39.00. You are better off putting your own double sided tape and re-using your own emblems, but even that is a pain in the ass. So no matter what it's a very annoying mod.

Chrome painted plastic, which probably costs the factory bout 1/10 of 1 cent to make. Haha. I only bought the "iForce V8" badge because I think 4runners should have it standard, but I would never pay that much for a whole new set to paint them, or pay 200+ to have them black pearled. But I guess if you are running out of mods to add to your truck like some of the people on here, you start thinking about excessive things to add, when you really don't need it.

i did my front hood emblem, but i dont have any pics as of now.

Yeah I saw it. I was referring to the people who don;t want to use their own double sided tape and would rather buy a new set. Re-applying the emblems on your own obviously isn't as good as the adhesive that comes on new ones because the tape doesn't line the back of each letter perfectly.

don't know if the toyota badges are the right size for a 4g but the price is nice!! didn't have time to research more but can check later!!!
