Is it possible to get to the butterfly valve on the throttle body under the hood with out disassembling the engine down to the TB?

What do you need to get to the butterfly valve on the throttle body for?

Both the V6 & V8 should be right in the front of the engine, I think the V8 is even easier to get to.

Just follow the intake tube from the fender, it'll take you to the throttle body. You'll have to undo the tube from it to actually get to the butterfly. You may have to lift the plastic engine cover too. Been a while since I put my afe on so can't exactly remember.

Alright, so inaccessible without slight disassembly?

Right. Its two little closed end nuts. Acorn nuts if you will. Think they're 10mm and the engine cover lifts off. Tb is under there. You trying to clean it, or modify it?

No, no, I know this much. I was wondering if they actual butterfly valve can just be opened/closed without disassembly, so I can access the accelerator without actually having to get in the car to do so.

Oh. I don't think you can rev the engine using the butterfly like in older cars. Since its drive by wire now, theres no cable bracket to rotate outside the tb.
