4th Gen Center Compartment cover/door won't close

Hello fellow 4th Gen-ers... Appreciate any help you guys can provide.

My DC power port is not working, I was trying to fix DC port in the center compartment next to the shifter.
So I removed the whole thing... Anyways I failed to fix it.
When putting it back together the slide over cover/door wont close anymore.

Seems like something that closes it when you push it fell out??
Anybody know how I can fix this? Is there a spring? How does the mechanism work to keep it closed and open when you push it?

Attached are pictures of the cover/door I am referring to. Screenshots are pictures I stole from google just to refer to what I am talking about.

P.S. - Also if anybody knows how to replace the DC port I would love that too.. I'm not sure if the port itself is dead or maybe a fuse.

is probably fuse, or connector is disconnected/no making proper contact. check fuse or get a meter and check the connector.

the little door has a spring and a locker/clicker type mechanism in it IIRC. once you close it, it latches in until its disturbed and the latching releases. you may have broken it, it might just be misaligned.

somewhere to start at least. i'm on the opposite coast of my 4runner or i'd look closer. goodluck.

Had this thing sitting on the table.
Looks like a rotating cam like thing.
If the little metal pin broke or fell out, green hex, or a small spring broke, yellow hex then it might not work.
There are no fuses under the console.
