4th Gen Fantasy Football?

Just a friendly reminder that we're drafting in two weeks on Aug 29th 6pm PST / 9pm EST.

We currently have 9 people who want to play, we need at least one more. If you're a new player, you should have already received my link. Please click that link to sign up. Also, waiting on funds (only received from 3 people so far).

I'll send another email next week to confirm and finalize the league and the settings.

We currently have 10 players...all have confirmed entry except for one (you know who you are). Also, only received payment from 4 people. If you haven't paid yet, please do so asap. If you don't pay up by start of the season, your team will be dropped. I know it sounds harsh but we've done this before in the past...

If the outstanding entry is not confirm in the next day or so, we'll have to solicit for an additional player.

So...if you're reading this and want to play, let us know!

I am definitely interested, sounds like my work league isn't happening this year and it seems like you guys are pretty legit. Do you have a link or info on the league setup/buy-in amount? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the newest members, and welcome back to the returning players. If my math is correct, this is our fifth season doing this!

Thank you to everyone who has already paid their dues. For those who haven't, please do so ASAP. There are three of you, and you know who you are!

Payouts will be as follows (same as previous years):
1st - $230
2nd - $115
3rd - $55

Draft will be Tuesday, August 29th at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern. If anyone has trouble with this time, please let me know so I can change.

Couple of things:
1) A suggestion came up to have round 1 to be based on the results from last year and to snake the rest of the draft. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to customize round 1 based off of the results, and the rest of the rounds will be snaked, but not in a random order.

Please weigh in. If you guys wanna do that, I'll release the draft order sooner so everyone can prepare. If not, we'll just do random snake with draft order 30 minutes prior.

2) Also, an idea came up to have the league be PPR, or points per reception. We had this I believe the first and/or second year, but it went away over the past couple years. Does everyone like this idea/on board with it, or stick to what we already have?

If anyone has any other bright ideas, I'm all ears.

Works for me. I have no strong feelings on PPR.

As far as draft order I think we need the new guys input the most there...

I would prefer the whole draft to be random, but I wouldn't be upset either way. If this was a dynasty/keeper league then obviously things would be different. And I think PPR adds a little more thought into the draft and lineups.

We've got a fun season ahead with PPR and 2 QB. We will have some high scoring weeks!

The random snake draft does sound best since we have some new players.

Ya, the random order is fine since there are new players. The draft order in round 1 based on finish works well with leagues that are the same year in and year out.

No comment either way on PPR. Never done a PPR, so will have to learn more about it.
 
Sounds good and thanks for adding me this year. I would prefer PPR as well, but I don't think it makes a big difference since it just adds a single point per catch so I'm fine either way.

I added the PPR points to the league settings. Draft will be random snake assigned 30 minutes prior to start of the draft.

Sorry for the delayed responses...I have family in town for Christmas and New Years and needlessness to say, it has been an extremely busy time.
