5th Gen suspension on my 4th gen

I am adapting the suspension from my 5th gen to my 4th and wanted to put a leveling kit on it. I got a KSP kit from amazon. When I put the spacer, I can't put the strut in. The spring touches the control arm when I try to slide it in.

I did notice the 5th gen springs have more spirals than the 4th gen.

Has anyone tried doing this before? From the looks, it seems like I'll have to install it without the leveling kit

I can't visualize why the spacer would cause the spring to interfere with the UCA.

If the spacer is causing that, you have maxxed out your down travel. I wouldn't do it.
