I looked through the articles but haven’t found anything on starter replacement. I’m guessing because this is probably super easy lol but I need some advice.

It’s my buddy’s and his starter failed and I offered to change it for him.
It’s on the side of the road so I went underneath and made some room by taking off the bottom engine cover/plate. Removed negative cable. Removed starter wire and stuff connected to the solenoid…
The 2 starter bolts are a pain though. I can’t get good leverage from underneath (not on jackstands). I can’t start the car to heat up the bolts either haha. I did spray them liberally with deep creep but that didn’t help much.
Is there a better way to do this? Is it easier to remove driver side wheel/tire, put it in jackstand, and go through the wheel well somehow? Any tips?
I did get a new 3/8 breaker bar and both 6pt and 12pt 14mm sockets that should help. Should I hit the bolts with a little propane torch to heat them? The angle is just so weird underneath… my socket set uses a non standard connecting piece so that’s why I got the specific breaker bar and 6/12pt sockets to try next. Slowly growing my little tool collection haha.

I have a leaking washer fluid reservoir in my 09 4Runner. Can't find any video tutorials on how to replace... Curious if anyone has any links they can send me? I am about to order an original Toyota part for a replacement for about $80 but open to cheaper non-toyota alternatives if they are suitable. Welcome any thoughts and thank you in advance!

I haven't gotten down into the engine compartment to see. I just see the fluid leaking onto the concrete. Figured the reservoir needed replacing?

You might check the tubing that carries the fluid for a loose connection at the reservoir before you replace the tank.

You definitely as mentioned need to check all the tubing for cracks, being loose also check where the little pump is connected to the reservoir, it could be the sealing washer before buying a new reservoir, you of course could have a cracked reservoir in which case you can try to seal the crack with silicone, or maybe even better some Flex Seal, after all they advertise it to stop leaks such as a crack, holes , etc.
If all the above fails to solve the issue, then I would first try and find a used reservoir at a salvage yard, which would be WAY cheaper than a new OEM from Toyota.

Wow thats low mileage! I'd just drive and enjoy it for now. I might recommend checking out the tires. At 28k, mileage-wise they could be the original tires and may appear to have life left, but age-wise they'd be trashed. You can check for a 4 digit date code on the side of the tire. For example a tire with date code 4616 would be manufactured on the 46th week of 2016. Generally, tires 6+ years old will be no good anymore, regardless of tread depth
I see you're in Chicago. I'm in the Peoria area, so kind of close by. There are a few Toyota FB groups for the area if you're into that. I was trying to get some 4runners together this summer to do something- wheeling, meetup, etc but still a work in progress
