4th Gen rear spoiler

Heres the Deal. I have a 2008 Black T4R SR5. I just took off the spoiler and want to get the body work done on the tailgate and I'm just wondering if anyone has done this yet and how much body work is accually involved? also what should I expect to get for the spoiler on ebay or local sale? any feedback would be great. THANKS!

How'd you remove your spoiler? Was the wiring for the brake light easy to disconnect too? I'd like to take mine off when I need to put stuff on the roof since it gets in the way.

super easy. remove the rubber plugs from the inside and 2 bolts hold on the spoiler. remove the bolts and slide the spoiler down to slide off the rivets. and it just comes off. the brake light is wired on the left side with just a simple connector you can pull apart. shouldn't take you more than 5 min.

Shouldn't take much body work from what I'd imagine it to look like with the spoiler off. Might have to paint the whole rear hatch though depending on what kind of blending abilities your body shop has. As far as selling that spoiler, you can definitely make a pretty penny off of it since people seem to think that style is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Me personally, I like the other style. Anyway, post it in the classifieds and you're bound to get some good offers.

What about the loss of the high center brake light? You just gonna go without for now or do something else? I've pondered the idea of removing my spoiler but there's no easy way to replace tail light that I'm aware of, since there's no cut-out on the tailgate for it. Thanks.
