I am starting this thread to hopefully summarize some of the different options we have for rims and tires on our 4th gens. Please help out and add ANY picks of the different options we have. I'll start with my stock Limited rims on Dunlops:

Just saw this new thread with truckhigh's 17in enkei rts rims, good year MTR 285/70 17 with NE 4in lift.

Can't get enough of these pics?

Although new here I have been scrolling these pages for some time trying to figure out what will be best for me when I get an '05 this year. One thing I haven't seen ANY of is a mild lift (1-2') for a 265/75/16 or comparable 17' set up/ It seems like you pretty much have to lift 3' or more to go any bigger than 265/70/17. I have downloaded Timbers' and Ahrimans' rides as they are the toughest looking to me by far. I badly want an SE but also badly would like 16's so.....I dunno'.

Wish you guys with lifted rigs would post more pics (like Timber).

So are there any set-ups bigger than stock that will fit under a 1-2' lift? I guess I want better mileage and speed than I think I'll get by going all out (285/75/16) since I will only be going out on trails 2-3 times a year if lucky; in east Tennessee and they won't be the Rock Garden variety.

i think bulldog has the daystar lift and the equivalent tire size to 265/75/16 for 17'' wheels. there was another guy, navyaircrew i think, that stuff 285 nittos before a lift. you might want to search for his pics.

edit: about those 285's, it's actually 285/60/18 which is about the same size as 265/75/16 (at least that's what the miata tire size calculator gave me). he did that before a lift so i'm guessing 265/75/16's should be ok without a lift.
