4th Gen: Running board light not working!

Hey guys,

I have a problem, it's minor but bothers me more and more everyday.

After handwashing my truck,drying it off, i went to unlock the doors and noticed the driver side rear running board light was dying(dimming, off and on, mostly dimming slowly).

For about a week it was doing this so I bought a replacement bulb from the dealer and now that perticular light does not work at all. I've tried switching both the bulb and the "connector" to the passanger side rear. Everything works fine on the passager rear but doesnt work on the drivers side rear.

Anybody have any info on this? suggestions to diagnose??

You probably have a broken wire leading into the socket. I have the same symptoms and re soldered it but that didn't last. I finally replace the socket and it works fine.
