4th Gen Slider Question

Hey all - before we begin, I did use the search button but to no avail.

I was killing some time yesterday browsing for some frame sliders for my 04 Limited. I am aware of the companies that make brand new ones for my truck, but also found some on Craigslist that were selling for a good price. Only problem is some are made for Tacomas, FJs, and older 4Runners.

So, here's my question - has anyone had experience with using sliders from other Toyota vehicles? I'm curious if any will fit on the 4th gen.

I've read that FJs will fit but are too short. I dunno about taco ones though. I know that none are made for those vehicles that are the right length. Some taco ones are too short (reg cab) others are too long (ex/quad cab).

The 4runner running boards are 70" most 4r sliders are 67-71"
