4th gen solid purchase?

My wife and I have a 5th gen that we have done some work to and we love it. I kind of want a 4th gen as well. I found a 2006 v6 with 180k on it. I know it's high miles and every vehicle is different but overall are these vehicles making it past 200k alive and well as far as engine and transmission? It looks to have been taken care of pretty well. Adult owned and garage kept.

Yeah it's 4WD and has a toytec lift that was put on about 15k ago. I have a toytec on my 5th gen and like it a lot so no worries there lol.

At this point they are more proven than the 5th gens. If a 4th gen doesn't make it to 200k with original engine, transmission, and differentials, you're doing something wrong.

Just test the 4wd and low a few times... Them at least once/month use it or lose it.. love ours!

Plug the vin in the Toyota owners records site and check dealer services performed. When we did the head gaskets on mine at 170k the engine looked great inside, very clean and good cylinder walls. I don't doubt it could have gone 400k.

Bought mine @ 188 and just hit 190! Only work it needs are some new bushings/joints/tie rod ends etc. All the soft rubber stuff is kinda iffy. P/O had the transmission fluid changed at 120k and did engine oil every 6k. Other than that it had no major work needed. No signs of anything going bad and it runs great :)
