4th gen sport running tubes/sliders w/hi lift?

Hi! I'm new to hi-lifts. Can I use my sport edition running tubes as a lift point for the hi lift or am I in for an unpleasant surprise?

No - the brackets that connect to the frame are very flimsy and the rails themself are thin and hollow. If youre in an emergency they might hold, but you’re taking a huge risk they’ll snap and the vehicle will fall

Thanks. So then since i don't intend on getting sliders anytime soon, is the recommended mount point my aftermarket bumper or that weird wheel hook thing they make? Or both?

Yes you can use your bumper. I’m not exactly sure what wheel hook you mean - the rear? I wouldn’t put the whole weight if the vehicle on any hook

You might want to look into a bottle jack if you don’t have a lot of lift points. I don’t have a ton of experience with hi lifts but have only seen them used on sliders
