4th gen sport to 5th gen sr5

I currently have an 07 sport which, aside from the annoying sunroof, has been bullet proof. Local dealer has a 2010 sr5. Curious if anyone has done the switch and your pro/cons.

My 4th gen felt much faster, more "peppy"

Although there is a lot to like with the 5th it seems foolish to trade in the 4th. The 5th def. felt slower but it also seems to be a heavier vehicle. My only complaint on the 4th is the rattle sunroof.

Sunroof is an easy fix.

I would keep the 4th until the 6th is out, then THINK about it. 4th gens are legendary.

I was at my local dealership this past Monday and had them look at the sunroof. They came back to me with the suggestion of replacing the tracks and cables for the price of $1,850.00.

There's an old post on this somewhere. Essentially what you do is go buy a couple of nylon spacers from the hardware store, cut about 1/4 of the spacer away and it clips right onto the rail. Problem solved.

When I had the sunroof rattle in my 03, the dealership took it back on used vehicle warranty and put in some sort of anti vibe kit in and it never made noise again.
I am very happy with my 5th gen, and I don't regret trading the 03'. That being said, I loved the 03' and the only issue was the rattle in the sunroof. Just wanted something newer, and have not been disappointed at all with the newer generation.
