4th Gen Wheel Swap Lug Nut And Tire Size Questions

So, I scored a set of 17" 4th gen 4Runner wheels today:



However, they didn't come with lug nuts. I have this style of wheel on my 2000 Limited:



Will the lug nuts from this wheel type work on the 4th gen type I picked up?

Also, what's the limits for height and width for tires I can put on this wheel without rubbing/needing to cut the truck (which I'm not going to do). I remember reading that the 16" stock wheels with 265/70R16s was as large as those could go, is the limit basically the same with the 17s?

Yup direct swap.

The lugs will work but the tire might be too tall if you have stock springs. 265-65-70 should be fine. 265-70-17 might rub. Also the tire might rub on the UCA. I've always used spacers with 4th gen wheels on my 3rd gens.

The wheels came with 265/65R17s on them, so that sounds like it should be fine.

I just replaced the front springs with Moog springs for the 2000 2WD Limited and will be replacing the rears next week with the 'tall' Moog rear springs. Would that resolve the potential spring rub problem?

1.25" (Hub Centric only) Spidertrax are the go to for most but I've been running the Sixity brand (half the price) off E-bay for 5 years with no issues. Same aluminum alloy but not anodized.

After I'd posted that last, I was perusing Amazon's Warehouse deals and found some hub-centric Rugged Ridge (made by Omix-Ada) 1.25" forged aluminum spacers for $40 shipped, down from their usual $100+; I jumped on those right away figuring they'd do well enough at least in the short term. I also spotted some Spidertrax spacers on local Facebook but the seller has yet to get back to me. Good to see that I blindly selected the right spacing, then - thanks for the info.

I had something come up and had to put my truck back in service a lot sooner than I had planned, so I picked up some Spidertrax 1.25 spacers from 4Wheel Parts locally. Those went on the front (made in USA) and the Rugged Ridges (made in China) went on the rear. Is there any reason not to use spacers on the rear?

You dont have to run spacers on the rear but I do so the 4 tires all look uniform.

I've got my winter/camping/get em dirty tires on 4th gen 17s. I want to say that they're 265/70/17. Never had any problems with rubbing, even with the tires buried in the wheel wells. They are fine stock and even better now that it's lifted.

Here's the end result - 17" wheels, new Bilstein shocks, stock 'tall' height Moog springs and 1.25" spacers front and rear. Thanks for all the advice.
