4th Gen - Where do you keep your change?

Got the new truck in last week, drove straight from the dealer in OKC to Houston, then back home! (Skipped the trip to Denver if anyone saw an earlier post)

We love it, it is a HUGE step up from the 3rd Gen.

My major question is - Where do you keep your spare change? I've always been an ash tray change person, but the ash tray (if you can really call it that) is too square to be good for change. We've decided to use the really big compartment below the a/c controls.

I know a lot of people are going to reply "There are change holders in the center console", but really does anyone have time to use that? I know I don't.

Sorry, but I use that change holder thingy. I hate the sound of random stuff rolling around.

Thanks for the link - I'll look and see if they have anything big enough for us!

I didn't mention that we generate a LOT of spare change. We live in one of the few towns in the world that EVERY convenience store has a drive through, so we drive through our convenience store daily to get drinks.

I wish I had the patience to use the change holder in the console!

I use the change holder as well. I can't find any other place that works. It works rather well for me!

Hope this makes sense since I'm not one to use coin holders and just need a place to dump it.

I use the spot at the end of the counsel where the burger tray flips open. ( underneath there ). I also keep my gum , smokes , lighter ect... in there. When she get to full I empty it out into the retirement fund big change jar in the house.

Usually, I just give the spare change to the wife!!

What little I keep goes in the change holder in the console.

I use the change holder only because I need to feed parking meters. An alternative would be sacraficing a cup holder. I don't carry change normally, weighs down my pockets and makes noise when I walk. I use credit cards for 99% of my purchases (as long as they accept it and there's no minimum charge).

Change holder and the overflow goes as stated above.

I use the square opening under the center console "table" as toyota puts it. But now with my Bank of America Keep the Change deal I have no need to use cash at all because if anyone has seen the commercials it's just like having the change and putting it somewhere when you collect it so I guess I'm done with cash all together.......

Plus with my debit card it's never been anyone else's hands except mine whereas money is about the most germ infested thing around.
