Was online researching for our trip and of course got distracted by youtube, but briefly around 1:38 there is a nicely modded 4th gen. Just didn't know if anyone would claim it or if you guys needed a decent video to watch, because lets be honest this is way better than "reality" TV.

Might be someone from expeditionportal. Love the night time clutch job in the field. Reminds me of changing cv axles in the auto parts store parking lot back in the day when I had a turbo honda.

MY buddy Absoluteyoda Ran the VOT last summer in his 4th gen and i think there was also another 4th gen there as well but on a different team.Definitely pushes the limits of your rig and i heard by the time you leave you will be an expert at winching and well it's pretty much mandatory that you'll be be leaving with some trail scars! I wanted to do the next one but they raised the price up to $800 or $900 to do it which is a little to rich for my blood to go out and run trails in VT for a week. I think it's a great thing to be a part of but it's just too expensive and that's not including food and gas for the week so it's really more like $1500! I think the years before was $500 which is still a bit pricey but doable for the experience. But for $1500 i'm taking a trip out west to Moab or something!!!

Yeah that is my plan this June we are doing 2 weeks in Moab, tetons, yellowstone, and the badlands. . .a little more diversity I think

Yes i want to do something like this! Hopefully this year coming i can plan a nice trip out west and wheel and explore that would be amazing!!!

That will be fun but 2 weeks is hardly enough IMHO. We spent a week in Yellowstone alone with one day in the Tetons. Moab is a minimum 4 days in my book. We spent the night in the Badlands but waking up to three digit temps got us moving on. I think that was July though, June might not be too bad.

Either way it'll be a lot of fun. Road Trip 2012

Yeah although not ideal we are just looking for about 2-3 days in moab than driving to a halfway point to yellowstone in Caribou National Park. We will be in yellowstone for a majority of the stay and simply stopping in Badlands on the way home back to Iowa. CXS would love to run into your rig sometime around here, is it still in the quad cities area?

Sorry, I didn't mean to say your plans were bad, just that more time is always better. Difference is that I'm retired so don't have those damned time constraints of working guys.

We went Iowa on that trip to visit a friend who keeps a boat on the Mississippi but live in the Denver area.
