4th to 3rd gen change

So we might be buying our first house soon and am considering selling my 05 for an older model to cut costs(lower my monthly payment). I'd like to stay in a T4R so a 3rd gen would be ideal. Am I crazy? I know I'd be losing my V8 power train and the MPG is not that much better. Input would be appreciated.

I had a 3rd Gen before I purchased my 4th Gen (with a B6 Audi S4 Avant sandwiched inbetween ) and I won't go back now. I love the looks of the 3rd Gen but the interior of the 4th Gen is so much bigger and better. Plus you'll miss that kick of the V8, my 3rd Gen was tired when I sold it (188k on the odo) and it was a slow puppy. I'd try and find something else to sacrifice to save some $$$$. Just give up your internet porn addiction and you'll be set....hahaha, just kidding.

on a serious note I agree with krupnation. You can find other ways to save money. I personally eat breakfast and lunch out every workday (fast food). I end up spending like $300 a month just on that. That doesn't include other unnecessary stuff like my internet porn addiction. Keep the truck mang.

nooooo, don't do it. I just did the reverse and am very thankful. I prefer the looks of the 4th better than the 3rd. Just looks more modern and better

How many miles are you at and what would you be looking at? You need to factor in a possible shift in maintenance and repairs against the savings on payts
