Ok so this week i was 4wheeling and happened to land on a rock and bent my running board and mud flap. Is there any good parts websites or anything for me to try for parts?

for the most part, depending on how bad it is, you can jump on the running board and it will bend back, lol.
also check craigslist or give http://irbisoffroad.com/ Im sure they have some, if your close to Denver

i would check the classifieds here, craigslist, ebay, car-parts.com, and if you can't find anything closer, http://www.calminitruck.com/ has had everything i have needed and w/ pretty good prices.

BUT .....

if you bent a running board playing in the rocks, wouldn't some sliders be a better choice?

Ditto... why would you keep the running boards on if you are gonna off road like that? Save the money you woulda spent on a running board and get some rock sliders!

i did the same thing to my drivers side running board, took em both off...you can have the pass side one if you want to pick it up...the only thing is mine is black where yours has chrome

best advice i've seen yet, either bang it back out and roll it or get another $100 bucks together and get some sliders. going with running boards again that are just going to get beat up again is a waste of money, don't lie to yourself, you know your going to end up doing this again at some point lol, shit happens ;-)

ok im glad the plastic mud flap is cheap to replace. I think im gonna head over to the Toyota dealer and see how much a new board would be because im not gonna go off roading much and would like to replace it.

Dam to bad, I just tossed an exact pair that you need in the dumpster. I live in North Phoenix and I couldn't give them away.

Thats what i'm worried about mine looking like ..... really need to build me some sliders before i am doing body work AND building sliders.

to the OP, i said when in one of my first few posts on here that i probably wouldn't see much time off road either, but well that was a while ago, and now my poor 4runner see dirt, rocks, shrubs, and whatever else alsmost every weekend.

yes that was a poor choice to take the trail with a stock rig i also rubbed the side of a tree near the tail light

Running boards

So i happened to get lucky today because the Toyota dealer said $100 for a new mud flap and like $600 for running boards. So they gave me a junk yard that he said had his old running boards and i got the pair for $50 :bouncy: and then found the mud flap on a very beat up 98 4runner and got those for free :biggrin2:
