4wd rear diff into a 2wd - any issues?

I have a 4wd 4.10 rear diff out of my '02 V6 sitting in the garage and a friend with an '02 2wd V6 needs a new diff. The 2wd '02's came with 3.73 and 4.10 gears, but he's not sure which he has.

Any issues swapping mine into his? It doesn't really matter what his gear ratio is because it's a 2wd, just want to make sure there aren't any fitment issues to be aware of.

Its a direct swap.

Gear ratio for the 2WD's is up to the factory wheel/tire size. The small wheel trucks get the 3.73's.

The speedo is driven off the wheel speed sensors, so the speedo will read correct whatever gears are in the diff.

Yeah just figured that out. He has 265's so it should be the 4.10. Thanks for the input guys!
