1997 Toyota 4Runner V6 SR5 Auto
Alright so I never made one of these but finally decided to. My runner has come a long way from where it started
It started off as a soccer mom-spec car
But shortly after I decided to install beefier tires from a Tacoma I had
After saving up some money, I finally decided to install the Bilstein 5100 shocks all around with TRD tundra springs up front and OME 906 in the back for a 2" lift (during the process I popped the BFGoodrich all terrains so I went back to the enkeis and street tires it came with)
After saving more money, I went to buy the Level 8 MK6 wheels in 17x8 +0 offset wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All Terrain TA/KO2 tires 275/70R17
So the transformation is as clear as day and night:
I had to mess with the suspension a bit since there was some tire rub on the bumper and mud flap so I put the front bilsteins on the 2nd perch from the bottom and put trim packers in the back to have it sit level
Just today I installed the 13WL tundra brake upgrade with EBC pads and rotors
Plans now for it include getting the tacorunner conversion with a tubular bumper, lsd or lockers and just basic maintenance
In the future I would love to have a 2jz-gte swap while keeping the 4wd
