Here's a shot from back in November of 2013
This is my current log
The 20mpg plus trip was with the stock tires at 70 mph the whole tank driving from Toledo to Georgia. I lost a few mpg's with the 265/75 All-Terrains. Everything else is pretty stock. No cold air intake or exhaust mods or anything.

The full version costs $2 something. The only thing I'd change about it is the fact that it doesn't have any sort of cloud backup. I use it to track all my expenses along with the fuel tracking.

What kinda sucks is it's hard to incorporate the effect of AC on gas mileage... especially in the summer.

The ac myth has been debunked a few times it does not change gas mileage nore can you get better mpg with the windows down.

The poll question asked for "average" fuel economy, which would not include highway-only trips, would it?
I voted 15-16MPG, because that's what I think my average of city/highway mileage would be.
I've gotten 19MPG on the interstate going 75MPH, which means I could probably get 23 or 24MPG easy on the highway by super-old-ladying it(55MPH in 5th gear, etc). Of course, being willing to go 55MPH isn't easy.

But you will get less mpg compared to the same trip in winter, because driving with the windows up is more efficient then both windows down or A/C. And heat is just waste BTU's from the engine plus minor alternator drag due to the fan.

I always get better gas milage in the summer doesn't matter if my windows are up with ac on or down. It may be due to the gas also though in the winter they add a lot of ethanol to there tanks.

In the interests of science, you need to try with the windows up in the summer, so all things are equal.

No you won't, because winter gas is formulated differently and nets fewer MPGs.

I should have added, ..."other things being equal".....sheesh....
The point is, windows closed and heat is more efficient than both windows down or windows up with A/C.

Between 22-24mpg consistently, Winter is is 19-22mpg, i do a fuel filter every oil change, and spark plugs once a year. I have a 33 mile commute each way doing between 45-70mph, I run 245/75/R16's, with a 99 V6 5 speed and 4x4. Technically my hubs are always locked so i have an additional drag compared to the rest of the 4x4'ers here (i have it wired this way, dont ask). My 97 4x4 5 speed did 19-22mpg year round on the exact same commute with the same tires, so it must vary from vehicle to vehicle.

On long trips I average about 21-22mpg...I don't floor it or rev the shit out of my engine. I cruise at 70mph...I have Michelin tires properly inflated, a clean air filter, and I haven't changed the plugs yet but I don't see a need too since I'm getting over 20mpg on trips. Plus I use mobil 1 synthetic for engine oil and I also have a 5speed

I have a 20 min drive to work everyday interstate all the way Run 65-70 mph, I drive pretty moderate. I run 93 oct and keep my tank above half full... I fill up at exactly 175 miles which = a half a tank the total amount of fuel is 7.2 gallons (I have ran a full tank to empty and got 350 miles but I was walking to the gas station at 349.6).. I make sure I hit 7.2 gallon every time for math purposes and it show full on my gauge every time.. I do run with the ac off and window down and have yet to see a difference either way. Average between 23.4-24.3(summer) mpg Winter is a little different story, with the same formula as mentioned above I average 21.8-22.9 mpg Winter time. Now I don't go to town much but average around town isn't good with 18.3-19.6 mpg is the best I could do, depending on stopping and going. Now my 4runner didn't start out with those numbers I had to work at it at little. I started by pulling the tank cleaned it out flushed the lines etc new fuel filter factory fuel pump assembly (Pricey) new wires blue NGK's and factory plugs. replaced both O2 and been running 93 oct ever sense had the same results in my 97 4Runner. Running Factory size tires...

5k miles, takes 4 mins to change the filter, i buy like 6-7 from rock auto at a time for like $4 a piece, it is so cheap and i get good milage, and i feel an improvement each time. I have 248k right now on it, and i got this one at 211k, and i had drove my last one for 65k miles, so something is working for me.
