4x4 operation v6 sport question

Just got a Toyota 4runner sport and wondered how the 4x4 works.... is the front locked full time? Or is it like a slip differential? Concerned about tire wear

So the front prop is powered constantly when in 4hi?

Yes. There's a torsion center diff.

If you're concerned about tire wear, don't be. The V8 4X's like mine are constantly in 4HI... No unusual wear whatsoever.
