4x4runner2002 build

Your rig is really looking good quick. I noticed a few similarities in our builds all the way down to the gearing, lockers and now tires. At first, that wheel looked all scratched up but that's the tire behind it. :biggrin1: Look forward to seeing the new grips on and your report. I'm digging them so far.

Not after 2pm today finally. Might even head out to gorman.

Holy shit man! you and your buddies are total f'ing hooligans
going airborn like that!! At least that's what we called those
like myself in my sportbike days. The 4X4 equivalent of clutching it up
at 60 on the highway, etc.
That looks fun! :clap2:

Funny you say that. I've been know to get some air w/ my old gxsr750. But I traded that bike for my 4Runner actually.

Thanks. That's pretty funny that we have a lot of the same specs. You must do your homework and pick the best stuff too.
What pressure have you been running the tires at?

Wow! Those look great! I would love to see a few more pics when you can throw em up. I am about to throw down some cash for a SS 1.2, some wheels, and the same Cooper ST Maxx tires you are running. I sold my 1994 Toyota Extended cab, (momentary lapse of reasoning), but the upshot is, I have some funds for upgrades. This gives me an idea for how my set up would look. Thanks for the updates and I look forward to hearing your impressions on the new tires.

Thanks I'll get more pics tomorrow I'm going to play in the dirt.
The wheels just came in from being held up in port. If you are gonna get some do it soon Id say.

The new wheels look great! I've been eyeing the same ones :D. Can you tell me more about your rack? home fabbed or bought?

New inner tie rods and a few little moab prep things today. But of course it had to rain so I set up the redneck garage and stayed dry. Pretty good not 1 leak. Alignment tomorrow.

Well I did my tundra 13wl upgrade tonight.
I have just under 300 into it.
I got salvage yard calipers for just over 100 and I got brembo pads and rotors off eBay for under 200 shipped.
I rebuilt the calipers with toyota rebuild kit.

After bedding the pads in they seem solid. I'll have a better idea of how they perform after my moab trip starting on the 22nd.

Can you do me a HUGE favor and measure the preload and hub to fender measurements you have up front with the 14x650 coils? I'm going to be swapping out my 13x600 this week and it would be nice to have a baseline amount of preload to set them at. We're pretty similar up front weight wise, so I think it would work out well.

Ya give me a few hours and I'll have them for ya.
