4xInnovations Bumper for a 4th Gen?

During my quest to find a front bumper that I really like, I stumbled upon this!

Photo compliments of "4-Ripcord"... very nice 3rd Gen!

I think that something like this design would be perfect for a 4th Gen (not too bulky, yet not too revealing) and 4xInnovations appears to do some good work. I was just about set on the ARB, but think it sticks out too far and this looks perfectly scaled. I thought about building my own like "cguava" and could probably do a decent job, but have concerns about the attachment to the vehicle.

I've looked at just about every one that's available for the 4th Gen and like a lot of most of them, but not everything on any one. The ARB floated to the top of the list based on availability and its air bag compatibility. I like just about everything on the Shrockworks except for the lead time. CBI's is great, but I don't like the lower mount. I'm also trying to understand actual weights as I'm simultaneously trying to figure out the suspension to go with the bumper... leaning toward the OME mediums right now, but want to make sure the weight is appropriate.

Anyway, I'm just looking for some thoughts on 4th Gen bumpers and am hoping that someone might know of something that I've missed. There was a local shop (in Colorado Springs) that builds customs stuff, but I can't remember the name or find the link to it.

That shop would prob. be Armorology Customer Support Web

Just remember, he is a custom builder, so you can get it with or without the hoops, light tabs, antenna mount, winch etc etc etc.
He can work magic, he just doesnt build bumpers, be makes ART.....
Ive had his bumpers on my 99 and miss them.

That's the shop I was thinking of... thanks! And yes, he does build some beautiful stuff! I've requested a "ballpark" quote just to see if his work is within my financial reach.

Thanks for the compliments, I am glad you like it.

The reasons you mentioned are the exact reasons I bought the one I did. Good approach angle, doesnt stick out far at all (its actually much farther back in than the stock 99-02 "fat lip" bumpers), Attractive, simple, follows body lines (somewhat).

Have you seen the 4th gen version from them?
4x Innovations: 2005-2011 Plate Front Bumper

Seems like that would be very similar to the one I have, for things on that list.




EDIT: wow thats the tacoma bumper. never-freaking-mind, lol. shows how much I pay attention. Maybe it would still work though?

Yeah... I love that Tacoma bumper! I couldn't imagine that it would work on a 4Runner though.
