5.7 in a 3rd gen?

No one has the supercharger in their 5.7? A former neighbor had one in his 08; I think a filling of mine is still somewhere on US 17 after a ride with him.

they are serious mf'n business. my oil baron uncle sold his M5 and ended up with a charged big body tundra. that tells you something. if you have ever ridden in an m5 that is. insane. thank god for the yaw control.

lol s/c i might if i dont mind 10mpg and 4 dollars a gallon for prem

why would you if you are paying that much for a swap/truck in the first place? not to mention burning up 38" and larger tires, just for the fun of it? Mpg is the ultimate status symbol. :trophy:

IF you could squeeze that 5.7 in a 3rd gen I'm sure you'd tax plenty of other stuff including rear axle, front CVs and other driveline pieces and you'd have to have the desire and funds to throw at a project like that since the costs would be crazy.

i know it would sort of negate the weight thing, but it would probably be easiest to just modify a runner body onto a tundra frame.

here's my 5.7 swap nothing to fancy 3'' lift 295/70/18.. jba shorty headers maganflow exhaust afe intake

That's one good looking truck.

I replaced a bulb on a guys Tundra that was supercharged at the dealership I work at. He was saying he lights up the tires at the slightest touch of the pedal. As he left I saw what he meant. Those things are beast even without the SC!

There is a fella that lives down the street from me with 2008 Tundra Single Cab with the Sport Appearance Package that has that gnarly SC bolted up to it... I talk a lot of crap to him, but I am sure he knows that we both know who is going win at the stop light. I have seen him smoke many of the local Corvette club owners in town. (Although he doesn't seem to want to play with the ZR1 of the group.)

Edit** His back tires are 31x18x20's, for anyone curious.
