5 Free Tires ~12K miles

Free to good home. . . Actually I don't care.

I'm swapping all 5 tires on my 2020 4Runner Limited. The Yokahoma Geolander G96, 245/60R20 tires are coming off have about 12K miles on 4 and the spare has 0 miles!

These should be available next week in San Jose. Pick only. If there is no home for them they go in the trash.

I'd grab those if I wasn't on the other coast. Given the age and mileage you can sell those to a tire shop worse case and get at least $100 (if not a couple hundred...)

Good point and I figured there might be a shop that "may" want them. However, I'm in Cali and they have too many lawsuits and laws about used tires. I might stop by some of the mom&pop shops it takes a lot of time a gas to do that.

However, if a fellow 4runner can use them I'm happy to pay it forwards.

I'm in the same boat, have 5 very good condition 20" rims and almost brand new dueler H/T in my garage with TPMS sensors in them. at least up here some folks will want another set of 20s for winter rims to match - a perk to having winter weather 5 months of the year lol there's usually a good market for rims/tires

Haha, yea things are a bit different over here in SC. I see at least 5 used tire shops on my way from Greenville to Dupont for mtn biking.

I did some quick snooping, it appears the sale of used tires is OK in CA, as long as they are not deemed unsafe. Your age and mileage should not be an issue. Most places consider 3-5+ years too old... and there is a cutoff for tread depth.

Edit: just so you know, a lot of shops that change your tires out will actually buy new tires out like the ones you want to get rid of. You can use that money as a discount when swapping them out at the shop. Just so you’re aware
