Hello All,

Found this today and thought it was interesting. It is short. Though some of the items are blasphemous to some here, but here it is:

5 Maintenance Procedures that are NOT needed.

I was surprised about the coolant......every 2 years/24K flush?? I think this is overkill........ Everything else seems logical.

Definetly no additives to oil that is changed regularly,gas savers and may I add such garbage as the Tornado and throttle body spacers esepcially used on modern fuel injected engines are pure crap.

Probably not a bad idea after 100k-150k miles to get the injectors cleaned but with coolant I go about 30k-40k miles and change it with my tranny and gear box fluids but I do check it regularly.
I haven't done anything with my injectors after 158k miles but I do use BG's 44K in my tank once a year.

I agree with most of it but as the OP said, 2yr/24k on the coolant, really? I'm not in favor of going beyond 5yr and I don't much care about mileage when it comes to anti-freeze.
