Anyone have any 5% tint pictures? Post em up!
5% over 20% even on the fronts. I love it

How do you guys like visibility at night? specifically backing up, anything darker than 35 or 50 annoying to drive at night with.
That looks great, has it peeled any yet? I hear that double layers tend to peel within a few months?

We do have a back window that rolls down :wink2:
Really? I've never heard that. I even asked the guy if there was any draw backs to tinting double layers, he said none besides that itll be dark as shit. Haha but nope, no peeling and I got it put on in May!
Oh cool, good to know. I guess if it's done right, then it won't peel lol. I don't have enough money to get double layers of anything right now so I'm just going straight 5 on the fronts but I am a little worried because my parents aren't too keen on the idea of nearly blacked out windows (I'm 18 but they still support me because I'm still in high school so I guess it's their rules for now...) And even though the cops didn't mess with me at all when I had my 20, that because they can't see in at all, they might use that as an excuse to pull me over. I hope not. Good thing window tint is a secondary offense in Lousiana. IMO, NOLA cops have better things to do than pull over a teenager who hasn't even gotten a parking ticket for illegal window tint. My friend/neighbor just got 4% (that's right 4%, not 5%) on every window (but windshield) and it looks great!
I had to convince mine as well! It was my money and I told them if I couldn't see that I could just roll down the back window! (I'm 17) I didn't really ask for double layers it was just that I had previously had the fronts matched and I just out 5% over that. I imagine it's somewhere around 1% just a guess though lol. You'll love it. It's really one of my favorite things I've done so far because it's used every day. Here it's just a fix it ticket! Lol
you cannot back up or make a U-turn in the night with a 5% tint. What's that parish that gives 2 year inspection stickers?
If you have 5% and with a valid inspection sticker, cops can still pull you over.
Laws are made to protect us.

nobody is arguing the legality of it, he just asked for pictures. I tint the windows of all my cars, and never get hassled. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and have veteran license plates, which might have something to do with it.

lucky you... He probably posted it to see how it looks before he do the tint. I just gave him a heads up...
