50" LED Lightbar Aluminum Mounts

So I did a thing.

I searched everywhere for some brackets that I liked for my new light bar. I got a 50" curved bar, and it seemed like all the mounts had the light too far off the windshield causing noises from wind vibrations.

I ended up building my own pair from aluminum and leaving them bare. The light barely touches the plastic windshield surround in the middle and makes zero noise on the highway.

Here are some pics! Probably won't make sets for sale, but maybe it'll inspire you guys to do a little DIY over a weekend.

Like the low profile look, did you put anything underneath the mount? Looks like it could rub on the paint would be my only concern

thx! So the aluminum only touches the edge of the A pillar right outside of the mount, and there's no movement, but you could do a little bit of the double sided 3M in that area for some cushion.
