5100s rear top-nut

can anyone confirm if its alright to only have maybe 3 or 4 threads on each side showing for the rear shocks? i didnt install them, and know the toque is low for those (i even heard 15 lbs somewhere i think) but i wanted to double check to see if anyone else doesnt have a half inch of exposed thread there.

Most people overtorque those nuts anyway. As long as you don't develop slop between the bushings and the frame they are tight enough, and should be a nyloc nut that won't back off.

thanks for the info. they dont seem to be backing off in the month i have had them on...appreciate the info
