The 66" 4xInnovations sliders are great. The kickouts are handy too, I use mine all the time. I actually had the 58" TG sliders before, and they sucked - way too short. I have scrapes on my doors to show for them.
I really don't understand why companies sell the 58" TGs for a 3rd gen. Most TG distributors' websites list the 58s for the 3rd gen. I would think this would be bad for biz when people get them and realize they aren't going to give enough protection. I wasn't thrilled, but when I realized it, I was already at the welders and needed some protection. I ended up cutting them off a few months later and putting the 4xInnovs on, but it was a waste of time and money.

Mother ****er! I have some 58" Marlin sliders sitting under my bed that I was going to install soon.

^^Well, at least you didn't already install them. It took a lot more time to cut mine off and re-weld new ones on than to initially install the 1st set. And you'll be able to still sell yours. I would list them on Yotatech or ttora because someone wit an 80s pickup will probably want them since they actually fit those.

Thats a hard decision for sure. Are they gona weld them on and everything for $400? Its hard to put a price tag on being able to walk into a shop and spend some time talking with knowledgeable ppl. Is it worth $150? I don't know, it might be...could learn something valuable.
well the 4xinovations are $210 + shipping. but yeah they are hooking me up on install as I am picking up a rear bumper too. they also have 4 legs that attach to the frame instead of some that have 3.

They should really change their websites...Marlin and Trail Gear cause that is waaay off.
figured, but not really sure what I really wanted. so why not get the harder ones I guess.

! I think the 58's are meant for the first and second gen runners, but I agree they should have 3rd gens marked clearly! Well I'm selling my 58s to a buddy and ordering some 4xInnovations then. Thanks for the pic Brian.

I just ordered a pair of 58" late last night at about 4am but fortunately Scotty at Addicted Offroad spotted my mistake and emailed me saying the 58" are too short.
So he changed the order to 67" which looking at the 66 & 67" sliders in the pictures here look like they will be perfect.
Cost was $176.00 shipped. and made from 1 3/4"X1.20 1035 DOM tubing and should be here in a week.

Haha, thanks. I cringe at that picture, but it's worth putting up so people can see just how ridiculous the 58s are. :bash:
The reason I put them on anyways is because I had ordered them months earlier and they were just sitting in the box all that time. I never looked at them, I just trusted the website I bought em from that they would fit a 3rd gen 4runner because that's what it said. But that was my fault for not measuring for myself I guess. Then I made an appointment with my welder buddy and when I got there, we opened the box, mocked them up, and realized they were too short. I was going to a ttora Takeover event that weekend and needed some protecton so we stuck them on anyways (although they didn't help much, I still scratched and dented both of my rear doors).
I think I ordered the 4xInnovations the next week or something.
