About time I got this done!

I finally got through some of the other backlog of work around the house and got around to getting this bumper set up.

I had a 2 row 20" light bar I'm pretty fond of, but C4 only made single row cutouts available, so I went with no cutout and made my own to fit my bar. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.



12,000 LB Harbor Freight winch I had sitting around got mounted and fit just fine. The roller fairlead did not, and needed a couple new mounting holes drilled to make it work. If anyone else is looking at that winch, I can confirm it will fit. And before everyone jumps on me over the cheapo winch, at whatever point in time it blows up, I'll replace with something heavier duty. I'm not planning to use it much, or with luck, at all.

Your modifications turned out great!

And don’t sweat the winch snobs. I know the HF winch is no Warn, but the reviews on the thing are stellar and for most people who will rarely use a winch, it’ll serve its purpose.

Thanks man, I appreciate the compliment. It was a bit unnerving to pull the brand new bumper out of the box and immediately take the angle grinder to it to make some new holes.

I'm not worried about the winch snobs so much, mostly letting them know to save their breath. I know my winch is cheap and won't stand up to full day pulls, and is super slow. I also know it was cheap and I've managed to get this far in life with only having taken a line once so I'm not super liekely to need it at all, but better to have a cheap winch than no winch at all IMO.

My thoughts exactly with my needs. In fact, where I off road, I usually don’t even have anything to winch to so I’ve gone the traction pad routes (X-Bull). I have a friend with a Rubicon who trashes pretty much everything I do to my rig, ditches his nice winch for a Warn just so he can attend a Warn day in MOAB, then never off roads again since. So, unless you’re using that winch all day long, it seems like a waste of money. Know your needs I guess is my advice to others. Warn is truly awesome but again, that HF unit has hundreds of reviews and they’re all good.
