5th Gen (10 - 13) Lo-Pro Winch Bumper

Hey everyone, we have been working on the bumper design a bit this week. So far what our engineer has come up with seems to be the best solution for a bumper that will fit both Trail and non Trail edition front bumpers.
Right now we are only working off of the scan we got of the Trail front end. Later today we are planning on stopping by the local Toyota dealer to scan the front end of an SR5 they have on the lot. Then we can overlap the SR5 and Trail front end scans and see if our current design will fit both properly.

Again this is the beginning stages and things are subject to change. I mostly wanted to post up some photos just showing that we are working on it and making progress.

I hear ya. To each his own. I've always loved the look, so for me it's form and function. Plus I live in the city and if my steel lo pro can put some damage on the knuckleheads that back up into me, that makes me happy.

I live in the city too and that's EXACTLY the other 50% of why I'd like something in the front, all those great parallel parkers haha! Also too, at least here in Philly, there's been instances of people with bumpers and noticeable upgrades having them stripped of the LED bars, lights, etc...so just another reason i'd like it to be a bit "undercover" but def still functional of course..which I like the "less in the front" look of the SSO, but still really excited to see what you guys come up with!

WOW that thing looks awesome! My one hope was that this bumper could fall into the recessed imprint of the factory bumper (like they do perfectly with the C4 lopro bumper for the 14+) without that "boxed look" from the previous prototype..it looks like you guys hit the nail on the head perfectly with this mock up! Well done this is gonna be awesome! :lookout:

Right?! I want mine right now! Love how it's nestled in and keep he integrity of the front end with nothing bulging out. Now to determine what color and shackles to go with... and winch!

I would think so. The lower grill on our 4Runners is only ~27" wide.

The bumper will be designed for a single row light. All of the bumpers we currently make are designed for using single row bars.

As of right now my engineer is working on another design iteration. We are looking into making the bumper a bit wider and taller so that a larger light bar can fit and possibly a bullbar option could be added.
We will follow up with more images soon.

Beyond pumped. The first iteration was sexy as hell and I'm sure bigger with an integrated bull bar will look just as sick.

Many of the other designs I've seen have looked more bulky because of this. I very much prefer your version, but the 3D rendering looks like it hugs the OEM bumper.

The winch will bolt directly to the inside of the bumper like our other models do.
The winch clutch can be reached from the two slanted cutouts in the front face of the bumper.

Ok everyone, here is the latest updates on the 10-13 Lo-Pro.
We have decided to make the Lo-Pro a bit wider and extend the cut area past the main center opening in the Trail bumper trim. The Lo-Pro was just a bit too small and we weren't real happy with the look. We think the wider version looks better.
Also the wider version will accommodate up to a 28" single row light bar so we will have options on the website for no light cutout, 20" cutout, 25" cutout and 28" cutout.

Right now we do not have the bumper designed to stick out far enough for adding a bull bar on top. The 10-13 bumper cover already has such a "layered" look to it that we aren't so sure about making the Lo-pro stick out and create another layer to the bumper and make it seem like to protrudes out too far. Maybe you guys can offer some feedback on that.

As of right now this version of the bumper will fit all 10-13 models. That was one of our biggest goals to accomplish. We did not want to have to offer two different versions of the bumper for Trail and non-Trail 4runners.

Here are some renderings. The 5 photos in this post are how it will look on the Limited/SR5 trim and the next post shows the same bumper on the Trail trim.
