It appears all new 4Runners have a fixed mast antenna plus a shark fin for those with NAV. It also appears that Toyota has removed the mast antenna for all photos and videos. There has been alot of speculation on this, but sadly I think you will see all have a fixed mast antenna.

2010 4Runner has a fender mounted pole antenna for the radio. The shark fin antenna is also on models that have the integrated XM Satellite Radio.
 
Yea "Back to its roots 4Runner" brought back $10 pole antenna from 70's and this radio is an option on 2010 Limited only:

fixed pole antenna is pretty gay .... even shark fin to an extent. People on the street bend and steal them for no reason. my 3rd gen broke and had to change the core plastic piece. my 4th gen in glass is the shit !
 
It isn't very clear from the various pictures posted, but does it look like the shark fin antenna might possibly be a bit high and be in the way of the roof rack operations?

Pole type antenna get better reception than the shark fin type antennas.
 
What about the in glass antenna like the 4th Gen... ? That thing is great I get better reception than my wife's Jeep and she has a 2009.

Toyota/Lexus have been having too many customer complaints from these antennas. They said the reception was terrible. The FM reception isn't terrible in my truck.
 
In glass is much better. The mast antenna just creates problems, at least for me. My Tacoma antenna base has corroded away and is creating corrosion on the fender. Replacing the antenna parts will be $70.

The 5th has gone too far back to its roots.
 
The in glass one has been great in my 04, never had any static problems.

going back to a mask ant. was nothing more then Toyota trying to save costs by cutting corners. Pretty bad when they remove it for all the publicity shots.

...and the interior. Look through some of the videos people have posted in other threads (smartkey and rear window one) the interior plastic looks really cheap, the buttons look cheap. It almost reminds me of a mid-90's Acura Integra.

It looks like the interior of a 2009/2010 Nissan truck or SUV. That's not a good thing.
 
With regard to the interior, while I do like the style, I do have a big issue with all the plastic and the quality of it. It's a shame that Toyota has decided to go backwards while all other manufacturers go forward. Toyota use to RULE with interior material quality. My 1980 Corolla was better!! You could squeeze it, it was soft, and I could scrub the crap out of it without worrying about the finish coming off. It's sad, really sad. I've said it before, I would have a Tundra Crewmax in my drive if it weren't for the interior quality. It's a disgrace for a $30,000 vehicle let alone a $40,000+ one.
