5th Gen ARB Bumper Pics

I'm new to the group. I just thought you guys might be interested in some pictures of my 4R with the new ARB bumper. This is the first one sold by ARB--I waited a couple of weeks to have it installed.

The bumber is on a Limited 4X4. I have a Warn winch installed in the bumper. The bumper is color-matched, though it seems to be a little darker than the vehicle.

The bumper was ~$1100. The color match was ~$300. This is a very large and heavy bumper, but it doesn't seem to change the ride or take it away from level.

I couldn't be happier with my decesion to have this bumper installed.

No. Everything is sold seperately. I think they were ~$100 (IPF lights). I'd be embarrassed to say how much I paid for everything (winch with wireless remote, install, synthetic rope, bumper, lights, color match etc.) too much, but I like how it all came together.

Are you going to upgrade the suspension with that much weight on the front?

You must be up in the panhandle of Texas with that much snow. We are under a winter watch with possible 2-4" down here in Dallas.

The pic you linked is from the ARB prototype, not production.

I haven't decided on the suspension yet. I haven't driven enough to make that decision.

Texas plate, yes. I am not in the state right now; that is why the weather sucks.

That's what I thought about the fog lights. I think it's better than way because you can choose the exact ones you want.

No problem spending that money really. You got a nice produce and did it right the first time. (Color matching and synthetic line)

Hi jonathon, welcome to the forum. Ice nomad and myself had the first two from production installed. We installed them the day they arrived, see page 7 of that ARB Bumper thread. I have the XD 9000 on mine as well.

First to color match though!
 
Looks good.

You might want to check to make sure you have the correct hawse fairlead when running synthetic on the ARB (looks like it is sitting back a little far. The more recent ARB bumpers are made to work with a roller fairlead, so thats why the gap for the fairlead is so large. If you make an angle pull, the synthetic is going to rub on the bumper. (there are stories and pictures on the FJ forum). OKoffroad - 4x4 Recovery Gear - News 'N Views - 4x4 Accessories makes a hawse fairlead for the ARB.

Hope you didn't pay $100 for the ARB fogs, you can get them for $70-$90. But as long as you are happy with everything.
 
I have a 2015 Trail Edition. I sent an email to ARB two weeks ago to see if they have an idea of when they were going to make a front bumper for my 4Runner. Got no response. Does anyone on the forum have any idea? Also, are there any companies making a front bumper that does not take months to get?

I believe ARB generally has the fastest turn around time for production of bumpers since they're a huge operation. Most other manufacturers are going to take months since they're small scale and generally built by hand, I believe. Shrockworks is another popular manufacturer, albeit with long production times, but they look fantastic. Refer to the Modification thread (stickied) for a full list of bumpers available for the 5th Gen 4R.
 
The bumper for the '10-'13 should fit, but you'd be on your own when it comes to cutting the plastic. I'm pretty sure all they need to do is amend the installation manual in order to "release" a 2014+ version.

And you probably won't get any bumper faster than ARB - mine took 4 days to arrive after I ordered it. Try calling CBI - they were only something like 6 weeks to build my rear bumper.

Appreciate you getting back to me with the info. I like the 4Runner very much Rear Bumper?, strictly a bolt on, no welding or cutting? It does look good and that is something I will be ordering without the tire carrier. Any idea what it weighs? Revtec Lift, which one are you running on? I am thinking three inch OME with SPC upper control arms

Rear bumper from CBI will require some cutting.
