5th Gen Christmas Thread 2016!

Got an ARB 2500 awning for Christmas. :whoo:

Now I ONLY have to wait until the end of January to mount it because BajaRack is backordered on the mounting brackets..... :mmph: :twitch:

Just to be clear for others , not sure why it shows up like that, but I did not say that theikm seemed to want to ruin Christmas with politics. I try to avoid the ban hammer offenses :yo:

Its the way he quoted it, when I quoted him it had your name, I had to edit it to correct so people would know it wasn't you.

CJ, check these out, I'm pleased with mine, might be another option though I didn't check sizing

Royal Purple 75w-90, I am not an expert in lubrication but so many people have used that (weight) in a host of Toyota platforms over the years and I have not once heard of an issue. It does not need to be royal purple, I just happen to get step discounts through work so mind as well.....

I used Raam Mat BXT II and Ensolite from RaamAudio based on a recommendation from a family member as a good product at reasonable price. He is much more of an audiophile then me so I can't speak to how it compares to other products but was told it compares well at a reasonable price...not the cheapest, not the most expensive.Happy with the results, that and swapping front speakers made a huge difference for me. I have no plans to turn this into a quality audio machine, only to make it better then factory/make up for putting mud terrains and a roof rack on, as much as possible.....

Got the bumper and lights mocked up tonight and the cutting done on the OEM bumper, tomorrow should be able to finish it all up....gonna be awesome
Thank you. I was planning on Royal Purple 75w-90 as well. I've been using their stuff for years with no issues. I'll look into the sound deadening in more detail.
Did you get a 270XP ho alternator? I have one in the box I need to tackle when the weather cooperates enough.
Thank you!

Merry Christmas and season greetings everyone. Thanks to the moderators and team for volunteering their time on this excellent site.

I had a very enjoyable time travelling and visiting with family in our new 4runner through all types of weather conditions. First real test of the new Yokohama winter rated AT. Felt safe and enjoyed catching up with all our relatives and friends.

I just purchased the 4runner two weeks ago and mods are coming. For Christmas my wife was very good to me. I got a new Nikon 223 scope for the AR, Troy Industries BUIS, a 24 gun safe, a Kabar Becker knife, and a compressor for future on-board air for the 4runner. She must love me or something, lol.

I did, it should go on tomorrow or Sat., last major project planned for the holidays before I return home and loose the help of "the old man" and his garage/lift

Merry Christmas to everyone. Feeling super blessed for my wife, kids, job and health. For Christmas, my wife supported hours of garage time to get the second stage of my build done. This included a grill mod, lots of lights, a Gobi rack, exhaust, and a relay module (all on my build thread). Getting it done has been satisfying, but spending the rest of this break with my family has been even more so. Happy holidays and happy adventures this new year.
