5th Gen Door Lock Security Feature?

Today I had to step out of a meeting and take a call in my T4R. After about 20 minutes with the engine off, key OUT of the ignition and windows cracked, I was unable to work the electronic door locks until I re-inserted my key into the ignition.

Have any of you seen this happen before? Is this an anti-theft option or just a quirk with the 5th gens?

Mine will only work for a few seconds after shutting off my engine, even if the key is turned to ACC.

Yeah it's anti theft, so crack heads can't stick something down your cracked window and tap the unlock button while your inside at work
