Intake and catback exhaust gave me all the pep and pickup that I needed from my truck without having to trick the pedal and pretend

Hey, I really appreciate all the feedback about my interest in the Sprint Booster.

Already I have installed a CAI, URD y pipe and MAF controller as well as cat back and these mods are what they are.

However, this has not affected the laggy pedal response so just looking to take advantage of another tool to make the T4R a little better.

Thanks again for all input. This forum is great!

The pedal will not be less laggy. All the booster will do is accelerate pedal press. If you press 50% the truck will think it is 100%. Simply you will use partial pedal. This helps if your seat is not position correctly and you are not using the full gas pedal. If you do you will not gain anything. I was hoping for less lag as they advertise that. Bought two for two different Toyota trucks with no difference in lag. It is simply voltage booster.

WTB: AFE Intake, Borla Exhaust, Roof rack

Hey all. New member here. I've purchased a 2016 limited edition and I've done some research and figured I'm most interested in the following: AFE intake, Borla Exhaust and a roof rack with sunroof cutout. I really like the TRD roof racks specifically. If anyone has any of these for sale please PM me.

Not sure where you're getting your info from but it is very wrong. The lag is gone with the sprint booster. The signal is significantly faster and the throttle body opens instantly rather than slowly with a delay. I run mine on street 3 and I am happy with it.

Here's a video showing exactly how it works.

Yes it is their nice marketing video I also saw and believed in. After further research after buying two units it turned up to be BS. Simply response rate is the same but you feel like you getting more and faster as with the same press pedal travel you are getting more power based on setting you have set up. Simply you are getting a more aggressive punch (with the same pedal travel accelerator thinks you are pressing further than actually you did) which make you feel you are getting faster. If you floor it 100% without it will yield the same result as flooring with SB at 50% (depending on setting chosen)
My buddy and I have measured with full gas pedal punch with and without SB on a drag strip. Guess what, we were getting almost identical times each time in both 18 4runner and 16 LC. Initially thought that maybe I have mixed up units and installed wrong one in each car which was not the case. So started doing more research and found this article which confirmed my observations. What you said is exactly the point of the SB. It changes the acceleration curve in relation to pedal travel. It's not supposed to make your rig faster. I think there's a lot of folks who thought the SB made their rigs faster, which it does not.

With the stock set up when you push the pedal 50% of the way down your not getting 50% of the available throttle. I.E. non-linear throttle curve.
Which is designed to improve mpg but makes for a mushy feel.

SB only makes for a more linear throttle to pedal input.

If you jump between diff rigs frequently it's not hard to notice the throttle/pedal relationship feels unresponsive. 4th gen V6 and FJ's feel like they have more pep compared to the 5th gen. Yes diff motor but same HP.

I'd guess its all to do with trying to get better MPG to meet CAFE standards.

Either you installed them wrong, never actually set them or turned them on, or just have no sense of feeling for a mod like this. Throttle response is absolutely much faster and more snappy. I turn mine off in bad weather due to this just to avoid spinning tires. Either way, sorry for your bad experience because this mod really did make a difference in the drivability of my 4R
