It absolutely does! If you think GY Duratracs aren't a night and day improvement from stock tires your crazy! If a professionally installed Pioneer headunit with Navigation and Sat Radio aren't more valuable you're out of your mind. We are talking about upgrades that make the vehicle BETTER than stock. The people who want to point out that there is no extra value in accessories or upgrades added post dealership are just vultures looking to take advantage of someone elses work. A forum is not the place to voice your opinion that modifications don't increase the value. This site is FULL of people that basically want to do nothing but upgrade their vehicle using this as their springboard. Most people here would look at a TE lifted with a Gobi rack installed at $38,000 as pretty reasonable. Only idiots voice their useless opinions that it's overpriced. I hope none of you vultures come barking up my tree when I sell anything. My negotiating will only increase. You better come up with a better rationale that, "Well actually, your aftermarket accessories decrease the value, so I'd be willing to pay less than KBB." How absurd!

while it's possible an individual may pay a little more, no dealer is going to give you more on your trade in for your mods. you are much better off returning your vehicle to stock and selling your after-market parts separately.

That is WHY people part their cars out prior to sales, to get higher return.
Only clowns with semi-modded vehicles or professional builders rack the prices. Now, the funny thing is that only the latter ones make the cut.
