I have been lurking around for a few weeks. I picked my 2017 Off Road premium up on May 12th with 6 miles on it and now have just shy of 1900 and I have enjoyed every single mile! Coming from the sports car world so I am green in the off roading department but am eager to learn. The mod bug has hit already and parts continue to arrive weekly.

I'm in the same boat! Looking at getting a 4Runner. What's the difference between the Off Road PRO and Off Road Premium? What do most people end up getting?

I'm probably not the person to answer this but I will give it a try. First off the TRD PRO is going to be harder to find and depending on the area and dealer you may not get much of a "deal" on one. Second, the TRD PRO has a beefier suspension, different front and rear valances and does not have KDSS as an option. Third, you get narrower TRD PRO wheels (which look cool, imo).

Slightly embarrassing to admit but I went with the Off Road premium for the looks. I even told the salesman that I doubt this thing will ever go off road. After browsing here and watching videos of what these machines are capable of, I have changed my tone. I enjoyed seeing mud dripping off of it more than I enjoyed seeing it after a complete wax and polish.

Anyone know the difference between the beefier Pro suspension vs. the KDSS? I was leaning towards the Pro. I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, I think I saw 1 available in the area the other day.

Hey Minnesotans ! Brand new member here. Just joined a couple of days ago. Still haven't figured out how to get around this forum yet. I'm in S. Minneapolis. Just got a 2017 Limited with redwood leather interior. I'm not a big off road dude, ....yet. We'll see.

What I do want to do is set up for more car camping at first with my family. Was thinking about the Yakima Skyrise RTT, ARB 50 qt fridge with pull out drawer for Coleman stove. That's as far as I got.

Where do you go camping that's suited for this type of camping ? Seems like a State Park is not private enough.
