I've done it twice now. It's easy, just get a trim removal tool, the sets are cheap and provide a variety of tips. You'll have to pull the seats, console, sill trim, and kick panels. The carpet is held in with some velcro against the firewall and plastic stretchers that clip into retaining clips in the sills.
It's about a 15-30 minute job, even solo.
Is the padding foam? Can I use a hose to wash the pulled carpet and padding?
I believe that technically, bare floor is how it comes and either type of mat are an option.Recently purchase a 2019 4runner limited. I chose one with the optional all weather floor mats which I paid extra for this optional add on. I picked up the car with the all weather mats installed but only noticed that the carpet floor mats were missing. Aren't the carpet floor mats supposed to come standard with the 4runner? As if I did not choose the optional all weather mats, would the 4runner have come bare?
