My speaker is built into my radio - I only own portable ones. I would not hard mount one - or want a hard mounted one. It's kinda hard to take out hiking, spotting, etc. Much like I wouldn't hard mount my cell phone. I'm not totally sure why people still do that - but I see people with them hard mounted. Even with a hard mount - wouldn't you normally connect them to your regular speakers either via bluetooth or through the aux input options? Every radio I've ever had installed in a work truck has been done that way.
Mine also came with a garage door opener (homelink). Don't they all?
My first aid kit is way too big to fit up there. Also why obstruct your vision with something that could easily be stored in the back?
Maybe I could velcro a bundle of slim jims up there?
