5th gen Raptor Grille Need Opinions

I did my Raptor Grille mod today, but I'm not sure if I want to go with the standard "TOYOTA" in the Raptor grilles

or this.

Either way I prefer black letters. as they are I prefer the large black letters.

I blacked out the trim, so I'm going to do the letters in white, grey, or silver so they stand out. Otherwise it would be too much black IMO.

judging by the grill, this is for a 10-13, right? in that case i vote LC emblem (Satoshi), or FJ emblem as you have, but painted/plastidipped grey/charcoal/black/whatever.

having said that, i like HomerTaco's work but have only seen 1 pic of it installed on a 4Runner and the big letters were way too far apart (bad kerning) for my taste. so, i'd love to see an install with the letters set more closely.

if it were a 14+ i'd say Raptor all the way—give that huge maw something to chew on! :hungry:

Good feedback. I painted my large letters grey, I still have not decided if I want to use them it not.

I may try the little letteres first and if I don't like them, go to the large ones later. Both are just double stick taped on.

I did a different grill mod but didn't like it plain so I added a rear emblem, blacked out. For my goal, it adds just enough bling without being in your face.

Sorry, but this is currently the best picture I have of it and you can just barely see it behind the top bar.

I'm kind of liking the bigger letters with a subdued coloring or maybe even color matched to the body. They just seem to me to have more of an "IN YO FACE!" vibe to them. Maybe the big letters without/in place of that center bar, but small letters with it?

he needs 6 people to order one before he can build a batch. so far he is up to ZERO... so if you want to PM him and let him know you are interested perhaps you can get a batch started.

Well........

I ordered this grille for my TE.. the wife came up to the office today and saw it, and decided she wanted it on here SR5.

So now I have to wait for batch 2 (if there is one since Craig said he has had no interest past the first batch).

the good news is.. I have Pics.

Not sure i understand. it matches because its my grill modified. this insert will fit all 5th gens.

typically i do not like the mesh grill mod, so had it not been for the extra breaks in the mesh (the raptor look) i would not even have considered it.

What i meant is - this conversion may not look as good on all the 5th gen T4R's.
With your front bumper and other modifications you have done, it looks good.
