5th Gen Rock Rails on 4th Gen

Has anyone mounted the 5th gen OEM rock rails/sliders onto a 4th Gen? Do they fit in the factory holes in the frame?

I assume not, but wanted to ask. I see them for sale for a good price around me semi frequently. I couldn't find where anyone has done this in the past, or asked about it on the forum.

I know they're not the best slider solution, but they'd be adequate for my needs.

I did not have OEM 5th gen side-steps, but I did have N-Fab side-steps made for 5th gens. They bolted right up. Not my favorite look, but hotter than stock

I know 5th gen running boards will work but the rock sliders bolt to the frame, not where the OE running boards attach to.

I just ordered some el cheapo ones off amazon for a 5th gen, I'll update the thread if they fit or not.

Sorry Forgot to get around to updating this. Yes they are bolt ons. they were like $250 off amazon. They bolted right up; they rubbed a little on the fender flair on the rear of the doors but no major modifications were needed. I wouldn't regularly slide rocks with them but they will def hold up better than the stock running boards.

Appear to be only decorative not functional rock rails,sliders or sidesteps.
If you use them as indicated in posts,hopefully you wont get body damage.

These technically aren't rock sliders as they bolt to the body and not the frame of the vehicle. Purely cosmetic but they do look good!

Really looking to see if a 5th gen rock slider will bolt to a 4th gen frame.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing somebody on mud put a set of 5th Gen sliders on a GX470 and them pretty much bolting right up, maybe having to drill 1 hole or something minor? The only scenario this makes sense to me in is if you've found a set of 5th Gen sliders locally for cheap then I think it's worth a shot. If you're buying new then just buy something made for a 4th Gen IMO

For sure. At the time I was asking there were a couple pairs of 5th gen sliders on FB marketplace for a deal. I tend to see more 5th gen parts available on the secondary market.
