5th Gen Spotted Thread

I saw Taylor Expedition's 4r at the REI in Tustin Marketplace on Friday.. No pics, as I was driving away.

It is parked there a lot. You can tell what parking space I always park in, its the one with all the dust and dirt. Can't miss it. It looks like a sand box. lol

spotted stock 5th gen limited. white in color. 1 soccer ball sticker on rear window and i believe there was a softball sticker also.

Saw you there today as well. I noticed the orange rack and saw the decal on the side when we were leaving. I think you were in it when we parked. I was in the Mag Grey TE a couple of spots down. I was like "hey I know that truck". My girlfriend didn't seem to care. Cool to see someone, or at least the truck, that frequents the forum as I've spent quite a bit of time on it myself.

Yeah I saw you too. I was going to get out and say hey, but I had my wife on the phone.

I work there at REI by the way, it is a cool side gig. Can't beat the store discount and being able to buy from the manufacturers at cost is awesome. Working from home for too long can make you a strange person, had to get out and talk to people LOL!

Spotted today at freestate gun range in white marsh. Anyone?

I bet it is a nice side gig. I've actually been thinking of getting a job there when I go back to school next year. I'll need something when I start the interning process and both my girlfriend and I love that place. The discount would probably do us some good. Maybe Ill see you there next time.

don't mean to get off topic, but that's a pretty funny name for a range in a state with stricter than average gun laws. :gun6: I used to hate having to "un-conceal" and lock up whatever I was packing when Id cross over from NOVA

I'll probably be stopping by the sale on the 29th, maybe I'll see you there!

It's true. I've always gotten my guns passed down from my father and grandfather, but I am looking into grabbing a Kimber or Berreta and am just brushing up on all of Maryland's wonderful laws.

He works at the range. I've seen it there almost every time I go.

Good to know, super off topic but how do you like that range?

Definitely the best range in the area. My membership expired about 2 months ago and I would have renewed it if I didn't recently come upon an opportunity to go shoot for free (including ammo) once a month now.

BTW, I would pick up a S&W M&P before either of those other two you mentioned. I love my M&P .40. I shoot better with that than I do with some much more expensive guns I've shot. You can find one new for under $500.

I've had my M&P .40 for over 4 years now. I absolutely love it.

Hard to beat a Kimber though. Just different type of gun. I'd advise against the Beretta. Good pistol but there's more ergonomic/lighter pistols with better triggers (ie Kimber or M&P). I could never get used to double action. Striker fired or single action for me.

Edit: I also wouldn't buy anything right now since prices are inflated at 300% or so.

I have 2 M&P's (full size 9 and full size .40) and 2 kimber's (TLE II and a pro cary) and I love both pistols. I will say that my first time out with the TLE II I hit a silver dollar sized piece of metal from 25-30 meters. The gun is a nail driver. On the flip side, as has been said, you can have an M&P for around $500 and with an $80 trigger job (I have apex triggers in both of mine), I can engage VERY quickly and accurately. Can't go wrong with either

Spotted: JohnnyT

Johnny you ol' dawg ... you DID get a 5th Gen.

Saw a silver TE with lift, front and rear bumpers, and at least 285s tonight in Moab, plus a blue TE with ARB bumper is parked by mine at the LaQuinta.
