5th Gen Spotted Thread

I just got pulled over for going 8 over..people were actually passing me as I got pulled over. I was out of state which Im pretty sure was the reason. $15 fine and $188 for court costs. Pretty ridiculous, maybe he was just trying to avoid a similar fisting.:police:

I stated 5 mph not 8, but my main point was if your free and clear in front of you and there's 10+ cars behind you move over... but in your situation it also comes down to the Ofc. maybe you just got one of those guys. I was pulled over and read the riot act for doing the same thing as you I also was in another state when this happened, there's good people and bad people in every profession.

Staying in the left lane pacing the DPS officer on your right who is doing the speed limit (65) sometimes going under 65mph with no vehicles in front of you at 0800 while people are attempting to make it to work, helps no one... Although hitting that skinny pedal speeding up to a safe passing speed and moving over does. We won't pull you over for going the speed limit or even 5 MPH over if it keeps the flow of traffic moving and you operate your vehicle safely... I will never understand Sheeple.
Rant over, have a safe day

Expanding on this, I can't count how many times I've seen people speeding on the Cali freeway's literally slam on their brakes when they see a CHP enter the freeway, thereby causing all of the cars behind them to hit their brakes.....talk about

50 in 30mph zone. $150 fine. Officer short. I asked in court if my vehicle had sunroof or luggage rack to cross examine witness (cop). He said "no recollection". Of course 5'3 tall smurf couldn't see it. The look on his face was priceless. I paid the double to clear the record, but had fun at cops expense. Life is a journey, have fun, live free. Cops are just here to make us safe - not to intimidate.

We have people who brake when changing lanes, brake before they take the offramp, brake getting on the motorway, brake when they pass a truck and brake to talk on their hands free phone.

I learned this last month on my first trip to the bay area. Moving down there in about a month...it's like Seattle only way worse because of higher volume of vehicles.

Spotted a Mag Grey TE today in Downtown Seattle. Flipped a U turn as I was leave the CG base then followed looking for parking a little further into downtown same as me. Looked like it had a lift, 285s, black wheels (I think American Racing), plastidipped emblems and a yakima Skybox on the roof. British Columbia plates, looked pretty sharp.

The Bay Area M.O. is to enter the FWY at 50mph, head straight to the #2 lane and squat.
I think they teach it in Driver's Ed.

Saw a Blizzard Pearl TE conversion with a few bikes on a trailer hitch bike rack heading south along I-25 around 10:30-ish AM. I spotted it just before it reached the Pikes Peak International Raceway. I was heading north towards CO Springs. A BP TE conversion? It has to be a T4R.org member!

Is that a stick on Go Pro Mount? Deciding whether to stick a mount on the dash or get the suction cup mount so I don't have to worry about adhesive on the dash.

Saw someone at the Issaquah farmer's market on Saturday. Black Limited everything stock with Gobi roof rack. I was going to park next to you but a guy took the spot right before I pulled in, so I was one row back.

Too funny - I was at the Issaquah Farmers Market on Saturday too - But I own a Silver TE with a Gobi rack.

Ha yeah I had did the list @ mention thing but then realized you were running a TE so I edited. Didn't see yours out there this time. We didn't get out there till late this past Saturday (almost 130pm). We're usually there early around 9 or 10. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Long Beach NY this morning~

Driving to work this morning I saw a girl in a sweeeeet Mag Grey SR5 with the chrome blacked out, the grill replaced and a killer set of wheels and tires. Caught up with her at a light fully expecting her to be on T4R and much to my shock she isn't so i told her she needs to get on here! She said her boyfriend is though so props to him for any ideas he passed along to her, and kudos to her for making me drool over the mods to her ride!

And ps- when I drove by, staring, she said her daughter asked if we knew each other! That had me laughing all morning and made me feel like a total slacker for having a relatively stock ride...

Yes, that's a stick on mount. The 3m like adhesive is fine. No residue left behind, easy to get off and very secure. I used the flat mount, not the curved mount.

spotted a t4r.org sticker in a South Carolina dash cam video

low quality but in the video you can tell its the forum sticker

Yesterday (7/16/13), on Goldenrod Ave. in Corona del Mar, CA, I saw a Blizzard pearl trail convert from what I think was an SR5. At least thats what the wheels told me. It was also sporting some King shocks and BFG A/T's. Good looking rig. They should have put out a Blizzard from the factory, as many have said.

Had a Mag Grey Limited pull up next to me on Soscol and Trancas in Napa, CA. Looked lifted, 285s (I think AT3s), possibly spacers, black rims, and a Yakima Load Warrior roof basket. Looked good compared to my stock height ride (I was like damn my suspension settled A LOT), that should change in the fall.
