5th Gen Spotted Thread

That would be me, live in the highlands and drive that road everyday on my way to work.
Wow that was strange, first time I've looked at this thread and was hoping someone spotted me or saw some other 4runners I have seen in the area. I think I remember, you came up black nugget and turned right on highlands drive towards the park and ride.

On a side note, I saw a 2010-2013 4runner limited at Costco in Issaquah, black with 34" tires, I think duratracs, lifted on 20" rims.

We actually passed near the entrance to SanMar, I was in a 10' Mag Gray, TE conversion w/ Countersteer X wheels.

Im suprised we dont see eachother around more often, I also live in the Highlands.

I am sure we will pass by each more in the future, I'll be sure to give you a big wave. Missed that about my other vehicles. When I owned my lifted Wrangler, I would wave all the time to other modified Jeeps, same when I rode my Yamaha R1 motorcycle. It was a courtesy to wave. Tried doing that in my 4runner and Hummer, people look at you strange or don't even notice.
 
Spotted this one in Biscayne Bay in a marina while I was down in Miami the other week. My brother loved making fun of me about taking pictures of other peoples' 4Runners.

I have the same results out here in Colorado Spgs, wave at other 4runners (any gen) never get a response. Well, I take that back.....I did get one to wave back, then I felt like a giddy girl. lol

My issue always seems to be timing. If I'm in my 4runner all the 5th Gens I see are stock and driven by soccer moms. If I'm in my commuter car Acura I see nice lifted ones and I get weird looks as I wave...

yeah most of the commuters in Colorado are bone stock but I will run into a lifted one here and there. I figured there would be many more out here. Someone actually waved at me in a 5th gen the other day so I have that going for me.
 
Spotted a shoreline blue trail w/ARB front bumper & looked like a heftyfab rear no swing out going the opposite way on Olive today in Saint Louis. Anyone? Clean rig.
 
Spotted silver 5th gen with a lift, blackdf out wheels, and sliders with kick outs across the street from the Toyota dealership in carlsbad.

I met Hrod79 in San Antonio to pick up some parts from him today. Drooled over his Gobi rack and wheels, then we discussed Plastidip for a few minutes before I took my leave to drive the 400 miles home for some days off. I backed mine up to his for a kind of side by side comparison of the 2010 and the 2014. I hadn't realized how much farther that 2014 nose pokes out there until I got a good look at them together. He has a very nice slick looking rig.
