5th Gen Spotted Thread

I was down visiting friends over the weekend in VA and while walking around Town Center/Down town VA Beach, I came across this awesome rig. I know you have to be on here. Sporting SCS wheels and Total Chaos long travel up front.

Geeze, I know where I am heading when the power goes out. Why on earth would anyone need that sort of light on there is beyond me. Seems a little overkill.

swimmerdude1127 should park a little farther from the curb...lol

Saw this bad boy today on Beach Blvd in garden grove/ Westminster area in CA. It was parked in front of a Mercedes-Benz dealership I think. Had to stop and take a pic. Belong to anyone on here? Sick ride

Haha that was my rig! You caught me at work. I was thinking to myself "hey that guy bought a new 4Runner too!"

I thought you were a customer for a sec then realized maybe you were just stopping by to look at the 4Runner haha.

Thank you for the compliments! The wheels are 17' Method NV Wheels in matte black for those of you guys who were wondering.

cbielat -- thanks for the shout out. I hope that wasn't you that (double)parked behind me.
WODWorldWide -- it is probably a little (lot) overkill, but I like it. To be honest, the lighting thing started off small and then once I picked up the 40", I didn't really want to take a loss on the SR's up top... and then I wanted an amber for when it's snowy/super foggy (the 20" E is a dedicated amber). To each his own, I guess.

Also, cbielat -- those TC LCAs are stock size. Not LT, FWIW.
KVA -- yeah for some reason those parallel spaces there are legitimately like 12 feet wide. I actually took a picture of the guy who parked behind me there because he double parked in two enormous spaces. So I nudged up about 0.5" in front of him so I'd fit.

Oh I'm not hating. I think it looks good. Just wondering what it looks like with everything turned on. And if you ever find the SR's not working out for you, I'm looking to pick up two tens for the front of my gobi ;)

I'd snap a picture for you no problem but:

a) I'm somewhat photo dumb,
b) with everything on it looks almost just like high beams from headlights because my iphone auto-adjust for brightness... refer back to (a)

Maybe a video may work better?

It's funny, I have the SR 30" kit in my Tacoma and that was actually my first LED light bar I installed on anything. When I first fired it up driving, I thought it was insane. Compared to my 4R now it's pretty much a joke.

If you want usable light the best thing is to go HID retrofit by the way...

I knew I've seen it on here before but just couldn't remember who's. No way man, that definitely wasn't me. He left you about half an inch or less back there. By the way, that front bumper sit's so nice up front. It was the first time I've seen it fitted in person and I like how compact it really is.

The methods on my truck are 17s! Here is a pic of em and my new bilstein 5100s!

haha dude that's awesome you're on here too! I just bought mine last week and joined the forum. I don't see many 2014s on the road and yours was the first picture worthy one that I saw. I had actually gotten off the freeway on my way to pick up some breakfast and saw your car.. then on my way back home I busted a U turn to snap some pics. But that's funny you actually saw my car there.. I was thinking to myself, I hope the owner of this car doesn't think im a weirdo for taking pics of his car haha. Anyways nice to meet you man.. Hope you don't mind if I start messaging you later on with questions about fixing up the car.. I'm new to all this :D

Saw a lifted white 5th gen in Dallas (Uptown) this evening. Had a custom grill with "TOYOTA" - sure there's a name for it but I'm a n00b!

Feel like I saw N/A last night on Upper Water St only because that's the first MG 2014 SR5 that I've seen.

Spotted STX4Runner with his window down and runner looking clean on Basse headed towards Broadway at the light in front of HEB. I was incognito and in the mall crawler not my runner. I was trying to look but not stare. My lady friend was like 'would he talk to you if you were in the runner?' I said yeah, probably, he would recognize me that way. Haha.

You bet I would talk! I always am on the lookout for you near my office now that I have seen you a few times in the area.

Spotted a 14' Silver TE heading south on 287 around noon....had a couple a boats on top..

Looked lifted...and looked damn sharp. Almost broke my neck checking it out...:usa2:
