Some Bud Built Stuff Installed
Just got my new T4R front bumper from Bud Built installed to go along with the bump-out sliders that I purchased from them several months ago. The design and quality of the fabrication is top notch!! Yes, there was a bit of a wait on the bumper but I would always prefer to have something custom made with an emphasis on attention to detail rather than rushing it out the door. Besides, the folks at Bud Built are wonderful to work with - excellent communication throughout the whole process, pre- and post-purchase. I am one very, very happy T4R owner now. No winch now, but soon.

Sorry but i'm not a fan of Buds 5th gen front bumper, a little more attention could have gone into the area where it meets the grill surround/headlights. Maybe a few more pics from various angles will change my mind.
I do however agree wholeheartedly with the comments on the quality of Buds products and the top notch customer service he offers! :thumb3:

Hi all. I'm new to this forum and thought I'd post a photo of my 2012 4Runner Limited. I'm a city driver, so this isn't as impressive of some of the SR5/TE upgrades on here...wish Dallas wasn't so flat!

Hey everyone. Been referencing this site for a while now (since i picked up my 4runner) and finally thought i'd join. Anyways, here's a few pics of my '12 limited. The last pic is of my 08 si, which i traded in for the 4runner...really miss that car.

I honestly have no idea. They said it was 3" and marked the price up $999 for it. I'll try to remember to snap a close-up and maybe you can tell me.

Thanks! I guess what I meant when I said custom is that: you can get it with the bar or w/o; you can ask for no cut-outs, or cut-outs for whatever type of lights you want in it (I went w/ the Rigid Lights that Bud offers).

Yeah, gotta say, I agree more attention could have been paid to the area around the head lights. There is a gap there, only visible when standing next to it looking down, but it is there. I looked at the grill and it's damn near perfect there though; right next to it but not touching. But you are right about the head lights. Although not a extreme hard core off roader like some on the list, when I had the sliders put on & realized the rocker panels had to come off, I've been swayed by some opinions on the list who have come to like, or be fine with the "not so perfect factory look". I'm becoming more & more like that. I love everything about my 5th gen Ltd, except for how boxy & huge it looks stock. Without the rocker panels & now, stock front bumper, it just looks like it's got a slimmer profile that is more to my liking.
There is one other issue as well with the bumper. Installation leave the lower portion of the windshield wiper water bottle exposed. I'm told there is a possible solution in relocating the bottle and Bud told me that he's working on addressing this issue as well.
But overall, the bumper is rock solid & appears as though it will provide much more protection than the stock bumper & looks really great.
