Memorial Day 2013 - Camping Trip

Getting the SR5 ready for camping. Got the original Rays Volk Racing wheels on, N-Fab bars with extension mod and Thule rack to start. Will post more pics from the camp site.

Got her Tuesday. Got the Glock installed (thanks Philly) doing a little plasti dip today.

I like the idea of that gun mounted under the center console lid but doesn't look accessible. How well secured is it and how did you mount it like that?

It really does slide out easily. I have the holster secured with snaps that I put on the hoster and on the center console top so I can take the holster out if needed.

Going to mount two holders in the bottom for mags.

unless you are a lefty doing a cross draw that is def not an optimal mounting position. Personally I dont get holstering a pistol that isn't on your person.:twitch:

Yeah it works for me really well but certainly isn't perfect for everyone. I personally love it. The holster is simply just a way to secure it in the car.

Yeah you're right, let's just chuck it in the glove box haphazardly and hope it doesn't fly around too much :caked:

I have tried to summit that damn mountain 3 times now with no success. It's always either to snowy or there's some wise guy in front of me in a superduty stuck and trying to figure out how to turn around. We should do a t4r trail run up old stage so you can show me the ways of the force haha

I carry at between 4 and 5 o'clock with IWB Crossbreed holster. Unless I want a hole in my new seat fabric, I have to store my gun in my center console. Not optimal but better than in my holster when in the car. Appendix carry and shoulder rig, I like neither, are about the only traditional way to carry while in a seated position.

Yeah that certainly works. It is def preference driven. For me I like the center console because I have been able to add a lock to it for when I am not in the vehicle.

I set up a mounting on the back of the passenger seat for my LVOA AR this AM. Mounted on a carrier secured on a molle seat back cover.
